    Oil on Jarrah Tree

This installation is a site-specific piece for Red Gum Pass, a festival in the Porongurups. Local elders from Kadadjiny Albany were consulted at every stage of the planning, including the plan around my art.

I received these logs by trading labour, making fire breaks and burning off dry ground cover for Mandurah locals in preparation for the upcoming fire season. This tree had fallen in a storm a month prior and would largely be used for firewood, which they already had in excess. I am so grateful for local communities and I could not be creating this without them.

This artwork will be an anamorphic Illusion featuring vulnerable animals of the Boorloo region.

    Oil on Reclaimed Linen

Work in progress, exploring the connection between girls and the things that are meant to be a risk, but in fact bring safety. The name of the piece comes from a medical condition where the body pushes out hair all over the body, soft but thick, when it thinks you're nearing death.

    Mixed Metal

I was commissioned by local theatre makers to create an ouroboros from found materials. The show, Conference On Hope, sought to answer how we find hope and determination to keep fighting the good fight when everything is against us.

    Acrylic Paint on Found Objects

After attending the Invasion Day Rally, working in major media felt particularly biased. A bomb was thrown at us, social media posts were made documenting the attack, calling it an "incident" while first nations friends were left reeling  from the brutality of officers and of the terrorist themself. These posts had their comments left on, and it became clear how little humanity some people had for targets of an attack when they are protesting for a cause which will at most cause them a little inconvenience.

It is likely my least planned and polished piece, but was an outlet for the anger I felt.

    Gouache

This area of Serpentine Falls regularly shows up in my dreams, whenever I die somewhere, instead of waking up from my dreams I sometimes 'wake up' within my dream on this trail.

Acrylic and Oil on Found MDF

Commute (2025) is an experiment in mediums and a looseness with my art that I usually avoid.  You can see the organic, moving nature of the artwork in its finished form, but the relaxed choice of mediums was also something that was a goal for me.

The reference image was given to me by a friend, Shane (pictured futhest right), who would push start their family car to drive to the nearest bus stop so that they could get to school from their rural property. The photo was taken on an old film camera, giving motion blurs and fuzzy, grainy delights that inspired how I undertook this work.

I used a mix of sanding, painting and sanding some more, then went in with some Acrylic paint and a palette knife to block out the composition and figures of the four kids. Once dried, a light pink and dark blue Posca pen went into action, once again trying not to think too hard about placement and exact-ness of where I drew and instead focussing on the feeling that the reference image evoked. The final medium applied was Oil paint, which is my place of familiarity.

I love the way that the brain fills in so much detail looking at the youngest childs face, and the texture of small globs of paint dried around palette knife strokes.

    Oil on found Panel

Lead is very much a work in progress, I want the dogs to feel threatening in that they have their teeth bared, pulling at my childhood toy, but upon further looking you can see the softness in that the toy has not been harmed.
